Looks neato Jeff, do you have enough room for a front wheel? Looks pretty tight to the downtube with that short fork thingy ...

Loffer, I think Ill be good. Im going to stiffen it up some, and should have about 4" of travel. Itll have a bump stop as well.
Guess it update time, got sidetracked on other projects a bit the last couple months. ok, I decided to go with an old harley hummer headlight, it suits the bike well. I mutilated an old old Carriage step for the bracket.

the levers are from a Jap Ching Jang 750, may have spelled it wrong..
I decided the seat needed to be larger then the cool Brooks saddle I started off wanting to use, so It was time to just bit the bullet & just start to make one.

I dont know Rob, lets wait and see how it comes out first. I do kind of have a seat fetish. This will be the kind with 11 or 12 springs being stretched front to back like the old old seats used to be, then a simple cover. It would be neat since its not a type offered yet by any one.

) means "How fuck are you? Glad you want seats brother" but I think I understand what you mean! Im fine thanks, been laying a little low on the journal for a while since I lost my job, moved 750 kilometers and got a new job.. Anyways your bike looks like it will turn out really cool and that fork is killer! |

See the problem with a seat like that is you can't ride without pants unless you want to risk stuff getting pinched.

Not a Rocket......It was a cannon, it was made from .250 wall pipe, and we scooped nuts and bolts into it, fed it some oxy/ace. It would rain nuts and bolts at the other end of the alley..........and that was a long time ago. Picture a tennis ball cannon, but a lot bigger....and a bit louder.
Clay......I know, it did pic the twig n berries. Itll be covered in fur, so it can be ridden neked. Whitewater, thanks, means a lot from you. Your like as anal as Clay about bikes. Bob, haha, yes that was about what I was trying to translate. You like your new place? Yeah, Ive been away from here a bit too. trying to get back in the swing.

...I made a similar seat for my pre unit 500 about 15 years ago, and still kicking
all the people ask about the comfort because the seat do not have springs to the frame, only those seat springs. |
