Can someone PLEASE find me the pic of him standing with one of his bikes, & a girl with one of his snakes, I think a yellow Python or something wrapped around her neck.
I searched every post he did on Chics & bikes, must have been another thread?

I knew Doug had health problems, I didn't know this was anywhere near happening. Doug helped me out a lot and always had a kind word for what I'm trying to do here. Fuck. Didn't figure he'd ever make me shed a tear, first time for everything. Godspeed Dragon.

I did not know he was sick. Had a few correspondences with him over the last 6 months when I started the Vintage Fuel Bike thread. A really nice guy. This is sad news for me. R.I.P. Doug and thoughts and prayers for your family.

When I jabbed a little too hard at him, he PM'd me to get things straight. No chicken shit name calling or insults, just man to man. When he was digging something I was doing on a project, he offered some free parts to help make it happen. When I PM'd him to support him when people were piling on him, he opened up to me about his health problems (and other stuff). And I couldn't pick him out of a crowd if asked.
We should all be so lucky to check out as a loveable curmudgeon, who knew his shit, and earned that hard ass.

Holy shit; I knew he was sick but what an absolute tragedy. I loved reading his posts, they were full of knowledge with the occasional jab or dab of humor. What a loss. RIP

Sad indeed. The man knew his shit. Just the other day he answered one of my posts with some helpful info and got my head to stop spinning on my project.
He ran the board right. Wealth of knowledge, dabs of humor, and the occasional backhanded slap from the front seat when we got out of line. Damn he will be missed. And yeah, we need a photo of the man posted with one of his bikes. Last edited by Capt. Cal; 12-03-2010 at 10:25 PM. |
