RIP Dragon. A true enthusiast, always willing to help and share. This forum was a better place for his input, and I personally liked his suffer-no-fools attitude.

I have been offline for some time, but I knew of it almost immediately after he left us. Ironhead and I inherited some things from him that will always be kept with us.
Doug was a wealth of knowledge, generously helpful in many ways, and an all around great friend. he was family so to speak of mine, and I will always remember fondly the great conversations about nothing in particular. I have known Doug for years now, and I know I will miss him dearly. Ride forever free my brother! Oh, Doug, I have "Homie" now. He has been promoted to "Manager of the complaint Dept." in my shop and "Senior Crash Test Dummy" He will always have a great home and offer many laughs.... |

He harrassed me about my posting mistakes, then he befriended me and helped me out......... Barely had time to know him, but he will be missed.

I took some time off from online forums, so I missed the news the first time around.
I'm sorry to hear of Dragon's passing. I just read through everyone's responses. I always liked the hardball attitude of the early board and played by the rules because of it. R.I.P. Dragon

I did some business with Dragon a few years back. It was a pretty long drive from VA but it was a fun road trip. I'm glad I got to meet him in person. Seeing his stash of parts and his bike collection was well worth the drive on it's own, but it was great hanging out and having a beer and talking with him in person after only knowing him from the computer. He'll be missed.

Wow! I haven't logged in here in a year, maybe more. Just got the word on Doug's passing. Really sad! Last I talked to him he wasn't feelin' so hot and was going to get back to me with an update. Now I know why I never got it.

The mailman just delivered the new issue of "The Horse". They had a nice tribute to Doug and Richie had a flash piece of his bike. Pretty cool & well deserved. I don't frequent the Horse forums, and had forgotten he was apparently a big piece of that site as well.

Sad. May Doug rest in peace. |
