I keep writing stuff and getting rid of it , I just don't have anything clever to say . . . it has to happen , but it always sucks when it does .
Rest Doug , you're good now .

I didnt know Dragon but I did enjoy reading all of his posts and was amazed at the amount of knowledge he passed onto all of us especially us younger guys.
He will be greatly missed. RIP Dragon |

I lurked for quite a while before I posted anything. I thought it was entertaining when Doug set someone straight. I was afraid that if I posted anything, I would probably end up on the receiving end of the entertainment.
It doesn't seem like the same JJ without Dragon riding herd on it. I hope someone can step up and carry on. The best tribute to Doug would be for someone to carry on in his place. |

Having always been more of a reader than poster here, I always thought Dragon was at the soul of the place, the core of the JJ.
Thank you for your service Doug. This place will NOT be the same without you. |

Doesn't matter how he treated me, or anyone else. The fact is, he knew his shit and he lived every word that he spoke. He was a wealth of knowledge and helped a lot of people. For that, I have immense respect.
Ride on, Dragon... |

RIP Doug
I can tell you guys from working behind the scenes with Doug how passionate he was about this place. He really loved the Journal and its members. I often thought of him while on a certain chunk of winding road I drive, our only phonecall took place on this stretch several years ago. He told me then about taking care of his folks and using the Journal as a relief from the grind of their care. Rest well now Doug, your work here is done. It might not be my place to say anything, but I want to give respect where respect is due. Though I never had any involvement with Dragon, he encouraged me to learn as much as I could before making a post on here, just by reading what he mentioned to others (which may be why I am posting for the second time). I've lurked for years and always imagined what it must be like to have the knowledge of someone like him. He was one of a kind.
RIP Dragon. You will be missed

wow, that is really sad news... i too bought a couple parts from him & he was always honest & on top of it. he cleaned up my classified adds when i didn't know what i was talking about & let some of my friends slide when they didn't have enough posts to sell. he was the true blue biker dude... we'll miss ya & now u don't have to stop for gas on your long ride
