sorry to hear of his passing, he will be missed by many....i am thankful that he had the jj as an outlet to pass on his wealth of knowledge gained from his many years of experience with motorcycles and for keeping the jj focused on it's purpose. thanks dragon

"Who are you passing your craft to?" I think Dragon used the JJ to share his knowledge with all of us and I thank him.
God Bless

Thanks Hatch. I only got pm's (telling me why I was wrong before giving the good advise) which leaves me diddly squat. Given the amount of help & trade he did with folks here somebody's got have something to go on, even just a number. |

Dang.
Doug was a good guy. Always treated me really well. He always seemed to like the projects that I was working on and surprised me a few times by mailing me some really cool period parts for free... just because he thought they would look right on my bike. A year or so ago when I found out he was sick I went up to visit him to make sure he was OK and being taken care of. At the time he could barely walk and had a tough time getting across his yard to show me around his shop. I really didn't expect him to check out so soon. Ride In Peace Doug. |

Fuck. I'm glad I got to know you a bit better via phone vs just on the JJ. Thanks for your words, wisdom or otherwise. Ride free. Cheers to you, Doug.

I gotta' say I never really saw eye to eye with Dragon and we would butt heads sometimes, but he was a stand up guy...it was an agree to disagree kind of thing. Brash, stubborn, and a real pia, but a wealth of information and all around decent guy that would bend over backwards to help you. RIP brother and condolences to his family.

Wow, this news sucks...I just logged onto the site for the first time in several months the other day and tried to contact him. I'm really sad to hear that he has passed. Dragon helped make my Bro Tom's dying request happen. I bet Tom was waiting at the Pearly Gates to thank him and to go for a ride. Godspeed, Dragon!

Is this Dragon?? What was wrong with him? I just joined in Oct. He responded very quickly to remind me to make an intro. When i responded with an apology he deleted it. I was afraid to make anymore posts because I didn't want to make a mistake but figured whats the worst that could happen. It seems he made himself well known and I think it was a lot of his posts that inspired me to join. looks as though this guy was highly thought of and wish I had been here earlier to get to know more of him.
Wish the best to him and to all Peace |
