Default Morris v Joe Hunt Magneto shoot out

I'm not sure if this has been covered else where on here. I am thinking of putting a magneto on my wla 45.

I'm keen to see what people think of both Joe Hunt and Morris magnetos. Are they both as good as each other? What king of problems and back service etc could I expect. I want the good the bad and the ugly. Johnny

New, or used? If I was going to buy new, I'd get the morris, the auto advance they offer is the way to go, therefore worth the extra cash. But if I was buying used, it wouldn't matter, unless I could get a deal on a morris M5. I usually run the manual morris units since they seem easier to find used, and thats what I'm into, used parts. On a current bike (cone shovel) I have a Hunt horizontal mag, because I like the look. This winter I plan on adding the rare earth magnet, other than that I completely rebuilt it, and cant tell the difference between starting/running than when I had a morris manual. I always lock them down and run them fixed when I find the 'happy spot"

Morris. I've run both the auto advance and the regular MM74, they are the shit.

My morris has worked flawlessly. My joe hunt worked after I rebuilt it with morris components. Both were brand new.
