Didn't he make the pan and had a local upholsterer cover it?

Josh Kurpius did everything on that bike, as well as the pan and the seat covering.

I bought this seat off this here board not too long ago. Funny thing is, i had bent up the bitch bar about four years before I got the seat. couldnt belive how good the thing fit when I got it. I doubt I could have planned it any better. I guess some things are just supposed to be together. But you decide for yourself.

i just picked up an old king queen.the sissy bar the guy gave me will not work with it
without adding some metal. your's looks great. my woman was not happy with the 3 inch width where she would sit. could be a pain on the bumps. lol

Well I figured out a way to avoid that from happening. I bought my girl her own bike to ride. Figured she's been in back for so long its time for her to grab the bars and dodge some cars.LOL

i think how i would feel if she got whacked in traffic.as much as i'd love her to ride along side.she's not a good candidate for balance and panic avoidance techniques like jumping the hood and rolling off the windshield or surfing the bike while sliding down the road on it's side in rain. shit i've had to do in the past with a bike to avoid pain.lol ps i had a cb 500 also.gold tank, a killer little machine.miss it. my king queen is decidedly ugly on this bike with a 68-72 kawi tank.i might just run it anyway for a while.make her a pad on the big ass hog fender, which is also major ugly on there.lol i mocked up the triumph engine, kawi tank, hog fender, dietz
headlight. all junk i didn't look for , it showed up or was selected for me in trades. including the 1970 engine/ frame.

Brand new here - LOVE looking at these awesome bikes and seats! I have a question that I hope some of you might be able to help me with.
I'm looking at a 1969 Triumph chopper w/ a Trident 750 motor. (Keep in mind, for the most part, I'm brand new to working on bikes - friend willing to help me though.) The guy is willing to work with me on the price and a partial trade. It is a rolling chassis. The engine is a basket case. Pictures attached. He said he has everything for it - just needs a rod? I was just looking at the seat and it seams REALLY leaned back compared to the bikes on here. The ones on here seem more upright. Should that be a concern? Easy to fix? Anything I should ask him specifically about the bike before I purchase it? BTW - I have to travel really far to even pick it up, so I do not have the luxury of going to see it first. Looking at it here - in your opinion, what do you think it is worth? Thanks - appreciate any help you can give me. |
