ok it has been a while that i had a thread of a bike i'm building
and i've worked on this one ..between customers bikes and hardtail frames for some while now

but here it goes

started out with this pile of junk ,that i traded for a BMW r60/6

first i mocked up the engine and decided wich way i wanted to go
i also had a BSA gearbox in a corner somewhere so i made this frame
Image

but when i was that far ...i wasn'd satisfied
i had something else in my head

so i started from scratch and i made this frame
(sorry i don't have any pic's from the frame itself rightnow ...will make them later)

it's also real narrow and kind of simular to the BSA C11 "B 52" frame i made before

yeah the cilinderset was for this engine ....but
the guys made a mistake
the pistonpin was to high in the piston (compression issues)
and some other small things
the stuff went back to germany and the are workin on a new set

meanwhile i bought a new stock 750 cc set complete in the states
and this week i wil complete the engine with some help from willem over at the "zijklepperpaleis"
he will help me with some "lapping" and whe need to find some right size rollerbearings for the crankcase and flywheels

so the other "spare" 45 engine will get the 980 cc set
and i will fit it later

first i have to get this bike ready for rosmalen in 3 weeks
(bigtwin customshow)

luke : the 7/8 bars came of an old 50 cc motorbike
just narrowed them and made them fit the springer
they are massive now :D ,filled them with lead

thanks guys

the only big issues gonna be the modern big twin 4 speed tranny
its alligned to to the rear wheel ,but the engine sprocket and the clutch housing are way off
i have to figure things out to make it work and in a way that is works for ever ,without it falling apart or killing the bearings or casing

i have 3 options ...now its all abouth finding and making parts for it

thanx guys
i will post some new pics tomorrow of my bike

today i've been workin on a special frame for a friend
who has a 45" WLA engine with 2 matchless front cilinders mounted on it
its a rare kees fick engine (only a couple made of these)
a dutch guy from mill /holland who made these race convertions
and was a well known cafe race builder back in the days

thanks guys for all the heads up

REN ...yeah sameshit every year ,too damn late because of all the custom frame jobs for others ..then again ,thats what makes it possible for me to build my own bikes ;)

again this is a low budget build ...so i have to work on others ,while making this lib. project
the last 2 weeks will have 22 hrs workdays ;)

oh well ..as long as it turns out ,like i had it in mind ...i'm happy !!
