Ride to Skate @ FDR skatepark, 11.01.09

3 times a charm. 10am, FDR skatepark, Broad & Pattison, Philly. Ride your sickle, Skate your board, Free your soul. There may or may not be food. There may or may not be a blast around the city after a solid day of skating. There will definately be rad bikes, good people & the best DIY skatepark you've ever seen. Free all day event.

hell yeah alex - the backyard ramp has been done since about a week after i did your wheel. its deceiving though - you would figure since i have no trouble skating 7-9' concrete tranny with oververt, brick pool coping, etc. that my 3' ramp would be super easy. ive gotten more fucked on my little ramp than i do skating FDR. got hung up on a FS grind the other day & belly flopped onto the flatbottom. jacked my neck all up. i <3 skateboarding.

OH great! the person that has been practicing his skills is getting messed up, I hope the old days come back to me real quick, haha! If not i will just check out all the sweet rides that come out that day.

Its so cool that there is a cross over in the US. I almost got into a huge altercation one night with one of the old patched up guys a few years back that took exception to seeing me ride to the skatepark with my board bungee'd on my back. Apparently something bikers didnt do.

Oddly enough I think he was in a car when he saw me and it didnt help smooth things over when I pointed out that at least I was riding my bike. ....Still a LOT of that prejudice here.
