Default DICE Release party- May 16- Hosted by DTMC

The Dice Magazine Release Party, hosted by Sonora's own DTMC, is going on in Copperopolis, CA on MAY 16th. It's the same weekend as the "Frog Jumps" in Angels Camp, CA just down the street.

Hayride to Hell-bad ass Nor Cal psychobilly live, for your listening pleasure
Camping next to the bar.

No reservations neccessary, tents and bedrolls on the open property OK'd by the Old Corner Bar owner in this little gold rush town. Free camping. Free entertainment including the bands and a eight girl burlesque group The Kountry Kittens! Bar-B-Que served at the bar and there is a little mini mart next door. Strap your gear to the bike, show up mid day, and have some good old style biker fun with no worries of DUI's. The cops are going to be pretty busy that weekend with the Frog Jumps, so everything should be cool. Possibly some improvised dirt track action. The Top Hatters MC are throwing a big ass party as well only 10 minutes down the road from the Old Corner at the Lake Tulloch Resort...

well here's our loosely based plan.
we're going to meet up with as many people as possible at the corner of sunrise and white rock road at about 3:00. take scott road to rancho murrieatta (sp)then on to jackson hwy to hwy 49 then south to copperoppalis. should put us there at about5:30 or so. everyones more than welcome to ride along if you'd like. should be six of us so far.

I can probably spare a P-Clamp, but I won't be able to do anything about all the dirt lot sand that will be in your cylinders...

I'll be coming down Hwy 49 from Nevada City. How about a meet up around Drytown on 49?

Anybody want to meet in Auburn? I'm taking 49 the whole way.

I don't have the change yet to fix the charging system on my bike.
We can split the gas money.

Okay. I'll be at B. Poor Red's in El Dorado (the Pleasant Valley Road/Hwy 49 Intersection) at 2pm, Then heading South on 49 to meet JBFRMCA crew in Drytown at C. the Drytown Club at 3:30. Here's my route, if you're interested.

Well, depsite ending up with a 12" steel rod and 6 screws in my leg I had a good time. The ride down was great! Wish I had waited to break my leg until after that knuckle showed up.
And thanks to the dudes that helped me out. Hopefully they'll let me out of the hospital this in a day or two and I can buy you guys a beer.

I talked to shitbird about it for a bit, he's a pretty cool guy, if name-droppers don't get to you. He knows a lot of people. Anyway, he said that Thomas (the norwegian guy that did sheetmetal for Cole Foster) and he fabbed it all, from the super cool BMX copy hubs to the frame gussets. The motor is the most ho-hum on the machine. An S&S Flathead Power copy, not original. The oil tank, while not my style, is a work of absolute metalworking art. This is coming from a guy who can't even weld. That tank is a wonder in metal. The best part is it actually holds oil! The tank badge symbols are some crazy norwegian cross and the tails of the cross overlap. And they're literally carved out of the sidepanels. I'll post my stupid idiot photos later today. I, sadly, didn't get any of the knuck myself. I was too busy standing around with a stupid look on my face. That's me in the cowboy shirt with the Beaker muppet frown.

Overall, a great time. Good to get ahold of some of the guys from my neck of the woods. Some great machines. My Triumph did great, about 300 miles total for the weekend and I didn't lose any parts or break anything (sorry, animal mother)... on my cycle. Time to renew the motor after such a great run. The tear down starts today!

Next meetup in Santa Cruz on the 28th of June at the Bikes on the Bay? What do you think?

I have to say a big thank you and kisses to the Deathtrap boys, with tounges and everything.
Here are a couple of photos Justina took

Karen on route, Caleb and JD dropped the bike off, she fired it up and rode 350 miles to the party xxxx
