Default Leaf Springer disaster ( RichPhillips / Rich Phillips )

I bought a leaf springer from a well known builder

When I open the box I tought it was a joke
I'm dissapointed of the quality off this leaf springer
Rather it's a disaster
Builder has no return policy and said in e-mail conversation:

The Fork are yours, If you send the fork back you will not receive the money back, and you will have to pay me again for return shipping to get them back.
If you have decided you do not want to use the fork I am sure that you could put them on Ebay and sell them for more than you paid. I sold a set of these fork used for $1700,- on Ebay
Here is my return policy as posted on my website
RETURN POLICY:
I do not offer any refunds on made to order parts exchange only on parts in an unused condition. I will not refund any money on shipping. If the part that you ordered was custom made you are stuck with it
Meaning that if you deviate at all from what is offerd as stock it belongs to you

See pics below, I put that thing on Ebay far below the price I paid
I'm done with it

It's really dicey buying anything these day.
I bought a brand new girder about 8 months ago, & when I received
It, Visually It looked awesome & very rugged, But after inspecting It
there were serious flaws with tolerances being off. The Desk jockey said
Send It Back, & We'll fix it.
Well the fluckers disconnected the phone & I have had no response
from emails. So apparently these guys went belly up.
& I ended up with nothing but a lighter wallet.

Hard to find anything of quality anymore, companies try to keep costs down
by hiring Idiots to do the machining, Bending, & Welding.

that leafer you got there looks pretty jacked up, I think If You send It off to
some Ebayer, When He gets It He's going to be REALLY pissed (like You are).
Bummer scene.

yea. Word of mouth is your best advertising or your worst enemy. If you treat people shitty, and sell shitty stuff, the word should get out. you would just be reporting the facts by saying where you bought it.

Yes, who is this "well-known builder"?
How did you originally pay for it?
If you paid via paypal or with a credit card, they have mechanisms and procedures for obtaining refunds when what get is not what you bought and you can demand a refund through them.
If he was selling "custom" parts, which they apparently are, then they at least have to have some sort of road worthiness, which it obviously doesn't. I can't enlarge the photos you pasted yet still can see how badly they were made. Who even knows about the quality of the welds.
Getting a refund at this point is no longer up to him. It's seeking recourse through payment method, unless you used a money order or bank transfer.

sucks about you're situation, really fuckin sucks, but this is pointless unless you blast the builder in question and put there name out there. just so nobody else will get suckered.

I hate to say it, but more and more Im reverting back to some of my old ways and realizing that violence is your best bet sometimes.
Its easier just to lay down and say fuck it , Ive got a comforatable house, food, and a hobby...
But if that cocksucker who sold you that piece of shit knew you would not rest until you burn his shit to the ground or fuck him up, I'll bet you would get your money back.

Earlier this year I bought a pan basket case from a well known shop with a credit card, my card company was not on my side when I tried to fight the payment. The went thru a few motions, but as soon as the shop said I got what I paid for they closed the inquiry and demanded the money from me.
Good luck!!
Oh, by the way... I still have the POS pan and cant even sell it due to legal issues with it.

It appears my only recourse is small claims court

Yep, the people need to know! Power to the people!

The best way to make sure he feels the hurt of selling shitty products is to let everyone know who to not buy from. He will definitely feel it when his business drops due to a lack of quality and customer service.

For example:

Unless you put it on the bike, let the welds brake while you jump off in the nick of time and the bike runs into a tree totaling it, and then sew his ass because he sold you a part that was supposed to be street worthy

I agree with what Trent is saying...Don't fuck with your karma because this dude will get his. Karma works in very mysterious ways. He may not get it back in a way that would please you but trust me, being a former piece of shit in my life, he will get it back compounded. You are not the only one he has proberly done this too so he has it coming!!!
