Default Gas tanks & other custom fab work

Narrow frisco sporty tank with recessed front rubber mount strap and rear rubber isolator. This tank is narrowed by about 1 1/4", relocated small aluminum gas cap, and is 100% tig welded. Interior is completely stripped to bare metal and hasn't been sealed. Tunnel is 1 5/8" wide and 7/8" deep, made from 1 3/4" thin wall tubing and follows the contour of 1 1/2" backbone tubing perfectly. 22mm petcock outlet runs off the left rear of the tank. $300 shipped. I'll be making more of these if members continue to show interest, and will always offer them on the JJ before going on egay. Paypal accepted. Thanks to all.

Yeah, I made them about a year ago and they kinda fell into use on my shovel project. 1 1/4" dom down to 1" dom. I have brass caps that fit the tops of the risers. They were pretty fun to make, but time consuming. I was thinking about making some bars to sell, but I want to try to keep the cost down for potential buyers. It's hard to do sometimes without ending up welding for minimum wage.

How about 1" dia. thru out, no caps, would that make it a little less time consuming? I really like those bars!

Sounds like a common theme with many if not most new businesses.

Look at it from another standpoint, that of this venue you are now in, with its perpetual free advertising value...

It would make it a bit less time consuming, I'll have to make a set to see how they'll look with 1" throughout. I'll post them when they're done!

I'm definitely thankful for all who've made the JJ what it is. You're right though, it's a very common story trying to make it work.

Yup, I've got one with the basic shell done. This one will be super narrow and should be done soon. Let me know what you're looking for. This shell has been claimed by JJ'er warehouse skate.

This is the modified shell from above for warehouse skate.
-width narrowed 1 3/4"
-length shortened approx 2"
-height shortened 1/2"
still needs to be finish welded in some areas, but almost done.

The shortened and narrowed one holds about 1 1/2 gallons. Not super practical for those long rides, but makes you stretch your legs more often.
