I passed this up two years ago for 7000 Canadian dollars. The guy that bought it on my advice sold it a year later for 6000 Canadian.

I bought this old Smith Bros. and Fetrow Honda 750 for $1,000-

...kept the frame and engine and sold everything else on ebay for over $1,500 total.

... then I bought the sportster engine and ended up building this... took a couple years, but I made pretty much everything I could, myself.... spent more on tools than I did the bike... it's no big twin, but it's fast, fun, and it was fairly cheap... got about $4,000 total into it-

I'll probably end up making a few more changes in the near future.

My little gold Ironhead was finished with about $1800 total invested, and my current Ironhead should be done with somewhere around $2800 in it. Then there's theVL/Knuckle that I have all the parts to complete and about $6,000 invested.

It's real easy if you don't buy parts from catalogs.

Thanks McKee.....I feel the same way. I don't usually call ANYTHING a "keeper".....but I really dig riding it, and may just have to keep it.

Sold off all the parts, and nded up building this for not much more than $7.5k

Only got $4.5K in this, and it's almost done... wiring, plumbing, and some misc.
