here's a 45 (& the disc's a 45 too...)
![]() & I got some background info: ..."Ms Bardot pictured on stage during a French TV special in 1968. She was performing ''Harley-Davidson'', a 45 written for her by the legendary French pervert songwriter and chain smoker Serge Gainsbourg. ..and the pic used as your poster was also the sleeve of the original 45, which I also have. ...Sample lyrics of the song: ''I don't need nobody.... on my Harley-Davidson......and if I die tonight... it's my destiny and my right......'' http://www.network54.com/Forum/13357...ge/1128179710/ . |

Maybe not too heavy on the bike in the photo but these guys are perhaps my favorite band, swell guys and have been a HUGE influence on me throughout the years.

I don't think I saw the album cover that BLACK13 uses for an avatar, Davie Allan and the Arrows. I just looked at their website and they have quite a few album covers with scooters on them.
While we're talking motorcycle songs, does anyone remember "Broke Down Harley Davidson Blues"? The local FM station used to play it in the early 70's. Anyone know who sang it, seems like it was a pretty popular band. Last edited by Larry T; 10-26-2006 at 12:15 PM. |

this thread has some greats on it! i mean, you can't compete with Fu Manchu, Prince, AND Meatloaf.......... i sense a new episode of VH1 "where are they now?" on the afformentioned bands.......
of course we all know that the Artist Formerly and Currently Known As is touring.......but as a Born Again Christian! that means NOT ONE PERVERTED SONG WILL BE PLAYED!!!!

One of my favorite album covers from one of my favorite bands. How can you go wrong with vikings, confederate flags, tits and choppers? Makes me want to go fuck around and throw shit.

I didnt know... found this : http://www.rocketcityrecords.com/sandywest/ ![]() "Runaways vocalist and life-long friend, Cherie Currie had this to say, “Sandy West was by far, the greatest female drummer in the history of rock and roll. No one could compete or even come close to her, but the most important was her heart. Sandy West loved her fans, her friends and family almost to a fault. She would do absolutely anything for the people she loved. It will never be the same for me again to step on a stage, because Sandy West was the best and I will miss her forever.” Commented Joan Jett: "I started THE RUNAWAYS with Sandy West. We shared the dream of girls playing rock and roll. Sandy was an exuberant and powerful drummer. So underrated, she was the caliber of John Bonham. I am overcome from the loss of my friend. I always told her we changed the world." . |

I agree...Seen 'em a couple of times and they blew the other bands off the stage every time. Love that cover..Did anyone ever figure out if it was a Mann painting or a good(bad) rip off?...

I was surprised to see someone post the Sailcat cover and other than seeing it in the upper corner of the wall-o-cards and stuff I was really surprised nobody posted the Crow cover. Good biker album cover.

I was young in the early 70s when Jimmy castor had this bike built in New Jersey. Jimmy is still around, living in Las Vegas, and still singing from when he was a little kid in the 50s, and, he is a real nice guy.

Sorry for the bad pics. I have several more Bronson albums, will take pics when I dig them out of hibernation. First Bronson album, including Long Lonesome Highway, which was a top 40 hit.

Here's one from the 80's. Bought it at a second hand shop just for the cover. US version title was "Two Wheels Good". Early 60's 500cc Triumph. Thanks for posting all those covers! Great!
