Yes, and its how I met Bradley from Hands Off. He had spent a lot of time getting it ready to re-chrome.fenboy said:schweet! is that an Invader rear? nice, really nice
How about some scans of Digger magazine, from 1976? Volume 1, Issue 1 thru Volume 1 Issue 5? I'm working on the scans & will post tonight.glorydays said:Does anybody have any pics of digger bikes? Most "typical" diggers had about a 6" backbone stretch with a 40° rake...downtube stretch (height of neck) was ussualy zero but sometimes you saw a 1"or 2" up.. but it all depends on the style and looks of bike you're after of course...penfifteen said:Typically, what were the usual frame measurements on a digger frame?,... backbone stretch,...downtube,....rake,...etc,etc,etc.
Here's another item straight out of Ness his catalogs... a "Cut down King Sportster tank"...as he called it (1.5" cutted of at the bottom and fitted with a low tunnel flat bottom, 2.5 gal capacity, at $ 129.95 in '86)Tony Bones said:My grubby old bike builder mentor was/is a Ness freak. He built three bikes w/ Ness front sections. Cool thing about early Ness bikes was that nearly all of the parts on them were available in his catalogues. And some of those catalogues are real, real neat.
maybe chromoly in 7/8"glorydays said:probably freds frames... but i wonder if he'd make one with 7/8 tubing? instead of the big beefy look?
