Thanks JAWS, a fender like that would be cool. When I got the girder they said it was extended, then shortened to its current state, so we will never know what the original bottom legs looked like. After looking at Shackle bolt measurements this thing was narrowed too. When I Google sport scout top tree it looks just like the one I have... who knows....

That top tree does look like it could be a modified version chromed of this here stock one. ^^^^^

More likely an after market copy.

From post #39, this is the last pic as a full roller I saw, is this the final config?

I particularly like the fender/seat/sissy bar setup. What motor are you going to use??

Thanks Willy, I plan on using a pre 70's motor but still need new guts for the transmission. Chances are I wont have the cash for a motor til the end of summer or longer but we shall see... At least I can ride the other bikes til then. I'm going to keep the fender drilled to take that seat setup along with the very comfortable seat pictured for my old back... taller bars in pic with tank from my Triumph. The final config could be near this setup but with different tank or bars.

Coming along nicely....
Yup, I keep one ride around, a fairly new one that never gives me any problems, while stumbling along on the rest of my projects. Like you I need more time, more project money, and other projects that stay DONE when they're done.....

Front end is definitely Indian. It has been narrowed some. The sport scout girder and the 741( Indian military 500cc) girder are similar. The 741 has the headlite mount cast on the fork and the Sport Scout has a triangle lug casting on the fork and the headlight bracket bolts to that. 741 has a u shape bracket welded to it for the speedo and no lugs for the fork shield and horn. Also the 741 is a little bit longer. With all the stuff hacked and narrowed on that one its hard to tell if it was a 741 or sport scout fork. look up scout or 741 handlebars. They bolt on to the 2 lugs in front of the damper/stem. Definitely Indian tho...
