I like the alien tank/orange fender. It adds enough visual weight to balance all out that biz going on up front. Personally I'd run a thinner seat or a sprung saddle and P-pad. That one is just too chunky for this monkey.

Also, I'm not sure you've got a Scout girder there. I'm far from an expert so I'm hesitant to even say it, but I've got two different Scout front ends, and the castings all look pretty different from yours, especially that top-tree. They're also really short forks from the factory, like 18-1/2". Either way, you've for sure got some aftermarket legs that have been shortened and welded, but I love girders so I'd clean up and paint that lower area and roll!

Just got all the parts (i think) so the wheel will be together enough for a tab to be welded on the frame in the right place for brakes! Also the speedometer cable hole in the frame needs to be welded up...

How did I miss this?

I dig everything about it. Gider, rear fender, lights.

Color? Exhaust?

Sissy. Not a terd style one. Not too tall.

I like that. Is this the one you think is AEE?

I found a small part of whats left of the AEE stamp under the fender mount, it was cracked and re-welded in that spot... Small update, oil tank is mounted & speedo hole plugged. Next will be putting the front end on.

AEE sissy bar look at the underside of the fender mount. You should see the AEE stamp

I think moving away from the fatbob fender is a good idea. By the time people put dual headlights on bikes the old bob job type reverse mounted front VL fenders were pretty much forgotten history...

^ Yeah, The 5 inch flat fender will be better. Also, brake line was welded under the fender for wires....

We didn't start stamping until late 71 early 72 (prior to that on some items we used etching) but that is one of our bars.

More good info from takehikes, thank you sir. The Wassel is nice but I need a tank with more fuel for this bike, ...I have a GME tank that looks nice on there too.

Brush painted the old Paugcho frame yesterday with Rustoleum gloss black, it looks way better then it did.

I like the last incarnation with the white tank.....except for the seat.....I'd opt for something smaller, and tighter to the frame...and of course..either drag,or small Z bars..
