Default Been awhile

Slowly getting into some bike stuff again.
I half made this oil tank only for the guy never to contact me again and forfeiting his deposit.
I'll turn it into a fuel canister sling.

First make bracket for back of licence plate.
It will be removeable.

This tab slides in, fix it to sling.

Great to see you cracking on with MC stuff again. BUT what ever you are making it always a pleasure to study and admire it. Any luck with the "stiletto" handel I sent you?

Cheers

Am I supposed to see an angry monkey and a joker in those pieces? Or am I failing some kind of psych test? Great work as always. Always been a fan . Always will be a fan.

Hi, thanks kind people for the welcome backs.
Lester I'm going to use it on some wiring, I'll show you what becomes when I get that far.
Scott these are Maori inspired patterns, Indigenous people to NZ.

If you see something else it's all good.

Above the bracket will be licence plate light.

Forgive these finishes everything will be have a tidy up.

Through the cut outs when not in use lies some detailing.

They remind me of totem pole carvings of the Pacific Northwest and rock carvings in Mexico and central/South America. I bet Brandt and Willy can tell us there are similar carvings by native Hawaiians . Makes one wonder about primitive oceanic travel in the pacific that these images are so similar and widespread. As always I'm impressed by your work. And more than a little surprised at HOW you do it. You know I like it in its rawest form, when the shaping is done but your sanding marks are still present. I'm still trying to achieve wabi sabi. Although I think that's wrong, one doesn't achieve it,it happens naturally, you are merely okay with it when it happens.Anyway, enough of my ramblings, do you still have your bike? Would like to see it if you do.

Hope we get to see more of the metal work, I'm really digging it.
It will be interesting how you incorporate the art into a bike.

There's a fine line to make it work, I cross it too often.
Dan your work always inspires me.
Scott these pieces need alot more love, I hope I don't take away too much of that rawness.
Lester, more comes soon, thanks man.
