Default Triumph Picture Thread

Ok, It's been about a month now since we lost the original triumph picture thread. I miss looking through that thread, I think it's about time to get a new one going here, so here we go..

Please post up pics of your Triumph, or one you love..

(OIF Triumphs have their own thread here http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=20761 )

Hello -
I'm fairly new to this website and saw the thread request for Triumph pics. I'd like to add mine to this thread. I've been building the bike for a couple of years now, and almost have it 100% complete. I'm working on the little things that need attention after the initial start-up and short road test.
I initially started to build the typical bobber, but ended up with something different. Its been called a speedster, digger, roadster,low-rider, etc. Hope you find it interesting.

That was a great thread. I saved probably every pic and a ton more to my computer, and just finished uploading to here, so if you need to find any of those bikes happy browsing:

http://s127.photobucket.com/albums/p.../Sick%20Bikes/

And here is mine:

Maybe it got bogged down with off topic bs and unfinished bikes that don't show what a Triumph can be and the motorcycle gods cast it asunder. Looks like this one's off to a hell of a start. Not a bad bike in the bunch so far, killer really. I'm hoping this one stays the course with prime examples. The skill is out there (and in here).

I loved the old thread but the new one is bring out some very nice stuff...
Well, it's very much a mongrel. '52-'53 frame, I had to add all three seat mounts and the steering stop as they had been removed, '53 6T left case, unknown mismatched right side generator case, '54 T110 iron head, ~'48 or so trans case, '57? TR5 style front 8" vented hub, unit rear hub, forks are a puzzle of collected parts from all over but are all late '40s early '50s lowered 1", 21" x 2.75 front Avon, 19 x 3.5" rear Avon, Bates for sittin' on, a friend gave me the stainless rear fender that I am pretty sure came of a rigid drag bike, there is a faint yellow chevron strip at the tail. That's pretty much it. I like it but then it's mine....

Fresh rebuild after throwing a Rod bearing..had about 100miles on the motor then did a 600 mile (roundtrip) shakedown run to BostonMikes grandopening. Aside from my stator giving me probs..she ran like a sewing machine.

here is mine, getting it sorted out. purchased it nonrunning, shit canned the Boyer and put a Pazon ignition in, cleaned the tank/carb and 2 kicks later it was running.

installed a rear fender and sissy bar, relocated the battery, ignition switch and got rid of the alum diamond plate the PO had the seat mounted on..

brake parts and tires are on their way, take care of the oil leaks and change the fluids and i should be ready for a little fun..

agreed. Another tip is if it's your bike include a link to a build thread or feature thread so people can discuss or comment over there. the last thread was a bear to get through because of post quotes including the pic (like I did here), so it would be a whole page of the same bike. stick and move people, stick and move.

If this is a test, my guess is an all-synchro GM 3-speed with a Hurst shifter; (had an identical setup in my Chevy small-block powered "61 Ford Falcon).

Here's my 2 cents;two Triumph TRWs...the green and silver civilianized version is mine. The bobber is one I helped a good friend with a couple of winters ago.
Both are good solid little machines a bit sluggish, but very reliable, tough as nails and get ridden regularly.

Asin, that blue triumph was one of my favorite bikes at BF3, that thing was killer. Was the one in the post above at BF3 also? I think I saw it, or one just like it. That one was KILLER also.

My bike is Mitch's bike's long lost brother:

As seen at BF3

The most impressive thing about Asin's bikes is that they aren't all the same, and yet every one looks great! Fucking ruler! Now that is the sign of a truly talented bike builder.

I rebuild the bike in mid 90s so the style and I wanted to leave the rear fender strong to support possible passengers

I have just started on mine, & this one sure changed the pic I had in my head. This one brings me back to the 70's were I like it, like I said I have just began to build. This will be my first build on a bike, I have rode bikes since I was 9 just never built 1. I was to busy building hot rods.

Very nice all around. I love the way one headlight is tucked in and the other two stick out.

Triumph 650 twins '63-'70. That's the small tank that was used on the Bonneville and other "sport" models. The one in the photo is stock, not narrowed, and has the '68 paint scheme.

Just finished. I got done with disassembly, and figured I would return it to a nearly stock look. My first rebuild, a 1972 T150V Trident.

I've had this T100R hiding in my garage for a while. I think I'll start building it this winter. Given the proper attention, it should be on the tarmac by spring.
