Default (yawn)

Finished dolling up the carb. There's a rudimentary filter behind the Bison Bird Blocker.

Sorry no other updates. She's in the garage now getting reassembled and touched up. Making a secondary harness for the "must haves for inspection". Boring stuff really.

I like it, use what you got, massage it and make it work... who cares what it came off of as long as it looks at home where it ends up and you certainly pulled that off.
"Neutered".... cracked me up... lol

The front master has been changed (again). I couldn't warm up to the Gixxer master, and the little RM master was so powerful it made the caliper flex with just one finger and had zero "feel". It now has a Honda TRX 13mm squeezer. I had to make a lever out of an old fourtrax lever I had lying around, came out pretty good. The TRX is a bit bigger, but has much better feel. It's the same master I used on my last few supermotos so I already had some parts for it. I'll post a pick when I get rolling again.

The cover came from Biltwell. I think it sits pretty well with the rest.

Aye, still at it. Med bills really put this behind but hopefully it'll get wrapped up here soon.
Thanks for hanging on for the ride!

Default ReMC

Front master cylinder part trois.
Back to the old stand-by TRX450r mc. Made a new lever out of an old one.

After:

Sorry, not much else to report. Finished building it back into a motorcycle, just patched and seal the gas tank getting ready for paint. As soon as the oil tank gets back I'll put it all together for picks, then off to paint!

Default Update

Sorry slow to update this, the job and issues at home have kept me from spending a lot of time here and in the garage. New bars and controls added, not too fuzzy about the TRX master cylinder.... may go back to the GSXR or do a little modifying to the TRX. The TRX master looks a lot bigger in pics than it does in person, but I think I can work it a bit to make it better. Got all the mandated stuff added, most will "fall off" after inspection. I have a post inspection exhaust also. Just can't warm up to the shotgun style. Still working on a paint job.

Default More

Bought some uber-cheap chrome plated aluminum risers. Ground off all the chrome, rounded them off a little, shortened them by about 3/8", and polished them.

Nice detail on the levers, looks good for just a few holes. I notice you have indicators there. Is that a personal choice or is it law in Ohio?

The levers weren't drilled originally. The lever for the brake looked much bigger than the clutch so I drilled them to make it look smaller.
To get it titled in Ohio you have to have indicators, horn, mufflers (not just baffles), mirror, etc. Most of this stuff can "fall off" on the way home. The law doesn't require turn sigs, and you normally won't get in trouble with a loud exhaust unlees the cop wants to be a dick (or you are). If you get stopped they may give you shit if you don't have a mirror tho. I have 2 mirrors, one for inspection, on for after.
Digging the blown trip biuld Dan. Added my vote for the tank.

Thanks for tagging along fellas!

Ha, I saw your post, I like your ideas.

Yes I guessed you drill the lever. Its the little ideas that make a build. I love the idea of "bits falling off"

I follow this post with interest. Looking forward to seeing some tear down pics!

Dan.

Not a huge fan of drilling holes in stuff, it's easy to get to the point where EVERYTHING has to have holes in it. Kinda like brass.... you gotta draw the line somewhere.

Me too!
I've decided on colors, and a basic scheme, I just have to bounce some ideas around with the painter. Now, to find the time.
