Sweet little bike.

I took the liberty to 'fix' this for you...

I found an HOK color that I liked, but after spraying a test panel and seeing it in the sun it just didn't give me the vibe I was looking for. Sprayed another panel in a silver that looked somewhat steel-blue (blue catfish blue ) and it spoke to me. If the money situation gets better, I'd be ok with some Ryzart slathered on her. Rich's stuff blows me away. Unfortunately, I now have more time to decide.
Still wrapping up some of the smaller (inexpensive) stuff. Made brackets for the rear brake junction and breaker box, the aforementioned front MC, and started on the harness.

Thanks for watching guys and, thanks very much for the support.

Lon.

Thanks Dan. I just checked out your Trump... great job and congrats. I love loop frames. Seeing the first pics reminded me how much I wanted to put a short girder on the bottom feeder before the funds got slim. Maybe......

Cheers,
Lon

OK Crash,
I gotta tell you, I'm a triumph guy, 56 T-bird, 68 Bonnie. But I like the F outa your bike! I would be proud to own that jewel!
I can appreciate all the polishing.
And you and I are somewhat in common in that we don't have a lot of the tools that make doing this easier. Kind of like being blacksmiths. Just makes the finished product that much more special.
Keep up the art, brother! That is one smokin' Harley! Mike

Thanks Mike!
I would be lying if I said that this build wasn't influenced by many a Triumph.

Not a whole lot going on right now, sorry.
Making a few small parts and getting ready paint. Will be rolling again real soon. Found an old vice that I've been getting back to usable condition so I won't have to stand on stuff to drill/grind on them anymore.

Unfortunately, not a whole lot to catch up on my friend....

I got the brake lines on and tested the smaller RM master and with DOT4 brake fluid it feels pretty good so I'm sticking with it. It's a lot smaller and fits the build better than the gixxer MC IMHO.
Got a bunch of wire and connectors laying on the floor next to it so the loom will be next.
I bought one of Bison's Bird catchers and am in the process of making a rudimentary filter to go under it (pics soon).
I sent the seat back to Doug Haifley to have it re-shaped and re-covered. I have it mounted so low that it was hitting the frame when the springs compressed, and, I decided to go with a smooth cover. I love the rolled cover but I think a smooth one will fit the build better.
The tank is getting a bit of work done so the 'Feeder is pretty much nekkid right now.
All pretty mundane stuff. Looks like it will be wrapped up in the next few months.... if I can decide what color to paint it.

I think the slow down (lack of funds) has been a bit of a blessing. It's allowed me to go back and re-do some of the stuff I wasn't 100% on board with. I'll post some updates/pics as soon as she's back in one piece again.

Thanks for hangin' around,

Lon.

I know the color will be perfect. Thanks for sharing the build, I am enjoying since mine are not.

Ummm....

In the midst of making the wiring harness (boring) I figured I pause and make a clutch cable or two......

The Honda-Davidson clutch cable.

1. Buy brandy-new clutch cable.

2. Measure once... cut twice. (I think it's supposed to be the other way 'round)

3. New ferrule.

4. Makin' ends...
