"bit more blue"

that's my vote. That is a stellar color...

Yes I know what catfish look like. I'm from Idaho.

I agree. The blue is very close (if not spot on).

We have blues to. They are more of a grey-blue and get huge. Bullheads are a lot smaller, we caught yellow bullheads that maxed out at about 2lbs. They seem to thrive in some pretty nasty water, I think that's why most folks consider them junk fish.... not for the table. Blues and channel cats on the other hand, omnomnomnomnom.
Lowly little bullhead, not fit to eat and too small to be a good game fish.

Yup the more blue color and a simple Harley Davidson early style on the side. Maybe in gold leaf or ?

I've been bouncing around ideas about what (if anything) to put on the tank. May go with a few simple stripes in a lighter color of gold, or a custom painted 'feeder logo. Leaning towards a logo.
I'll have to have my painter shoot some test panels, I have doubts that the colors on the web look anything like the finished product. I found another gold/green that I think is a lot closer, maybe a little darker tho.. or maybe.... not...

The blue green one from above with a touch more gold? That one looks too yellow.

Skin the catfish and glue it then lacquer over it so it wont rot.

Agree... not quite "olive" enough.

I feel bad enough just taking them off the hook.

OK, I've been down the pub, but I think a simple straight colour would suit it. Red, white, blue, black or whatever - you're only painting the tank aren't you?

That said, I stuck a bright metallic blue Sporty king tank on my shovel project to see what it looked like and I'm seriously tempted to try and get that matched. Have you not trimmed that rear pipe to show the rim and tyre?

I too noticed the long pipes...I thought we discussed this already.

You're slackin!

I drove on a desert road once and a snake passed the road in front of me so I stopped. Its underside was the most beautiful green/gold/metallic pearlescent color I have ever seen.
The sun hit it perfectly and I watched in awe as all 5 feet of it slithered across the 2-lane highway.
It was also probably deadly poisonous.

I rekon it would look good Dark Metallic Maroon with Black Highlights and everything else polished.

Aye, just painting the tank. I thought about painting the oil tank to match the gas tank but I think it looks better black, especially with darker colors.

Don't worry fellas, the pipes have already been cut. I'm using them with mufflers to get her through inspection then they'll (ahem) fall off and be replaced with a shorter set.

IMHO, there's nothing more stunning than the yellow/green that some fish and reptiles sport.

I found quite a few reds and blues that I liked but they just feel too flashy.... they're just not "bottom feeder" colors.

Default Itty-Bitty Speedo

I had planned on running the speedo off of an electronic pickup on the rear wheel but it looked too cluttered and added more wires so I added a drive gear to the tranny, slapped on a drive, ordered a short cable from Barnett and viola, Bottom Feeder's happy.

Default Slowly....

Not feeling real fuzzy about using the 11mm mc with the HD caliper, I scrounged up an old 14mm GSXR MC, filed, sanded, polished. A lever from a junk Honda TRX mc that I had in my stash was neutered, slimmed down, shortened and polished to more closely match my clutch lever.

Still agonizing over paint, silver is really starting to grow on me. Saving up my pennies.... when I get enough I think I might give Rich (Ryzart) a call....

I SO dig this...

My apologies to those who have been following my little project, I'd hoped to have this completed this summer but I had a bit of a health problem that consumed what little funds I had set aside (and then some). Hopefully we'll be moving along again soon.

Hey Lon, don't worry about it.
I think I have a bike project too.
It looks good paint or none.
Take care friend.

Cheers Tony!
I'm beginning to think our bikes are somehow cosmically joined so that one cannot be finished before the other and I was smited (smote?) for trying to finish it too soon.
