Awesome build bro! You must have spent an ungodly amount of time polishing all those parts. Anyway I like the red color you were originally gonna go with, I think it will look kick ass with the black powder coated frame. Are you planning on leaving just the solid color or are you gonna add some type of graphics, maybe flames, pinstripe or other effects?

Aye, Der Dopplers paint is spot on. I'm still torn on solid or. I've been looking for a paint job that grabs me either way. I'd like to have some sort of stripes, either in graphics or pin stripes.

Thanks, Shay.
Probably going to stick with a solid color, I don't want a paint job that will add too much flash. From the very beginning I wanted this bike to be as understated as possible, the kind of bike that most would walk by and barely notice, hence the agonizing over the paint. I've found a few colors that I like on HOK's website, all more "organic" colors. Not the normal colors you would see at a bike show.

Now you're getting it! Those iridescent olives, silvers and golds. They're bottom feeders ya know.
The more I dwell on it, the more attracted I've become to darker colors.

I kinda thought that's where you were headed...

it is the "bottom feeder".

Which one do you like the most? Have you seen the black gold?

Great looking bike. Absolutely love the attention to detail and finish work on the parts.

Aye.... the more I look at the bike, the less I want to make it 'showy'. I want the motor to be the focal point of the build (I'm a motorhead ).

Leaning heavily towards this. Trying to steer very clear of the "chameleon" looking paints. I have a little time to decide tho, I'm still doing the mundane stuff (wiring, brake lines, etc.). I want to have it ready for inspection as soon as the weather gets decent so I can finish it by riding season.

Yeh... it didn't come out quite the color I'm thinking, I'm trying for a more olive-gold. I've found a few more that are close but it's hard to tell on the net. If you've seen a bullhead in the sunlight it's what I'm thinking. When I was a kid we used to catch bullheads in a lake by my house, everyone considered them less than a catfish and only slightly better than carp. I always thought they were beautiful.

Here's one with a bit more blue.

With more green:
