I like it. All that time polishing and you didn't touch up the cases or the heads?

And whose bars are those. I need a set...

Nice work all around!

I agree about shorter pipes, I think it'll make a huge difference!

The bars are pro-tapers 7/8". I removed the crossbar. IIRC, they are for a YZ80. The cases got scrubbed and the heads bead blasted but I wanted them left sand cast. That motor is plenty pretty as it is.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to trimming them, probably in the next few days.

Thanks Sandman. The 18" and the modern hub was one of the things that was a must from the beginning. I just had to do a little research on how to get it done. I think it looks great with the skinnier (1.85") front rim.

Great looking bike, and a nice build thread too. Good on ya!

Where'd you get the pipes from in the photos? I dig em, and may need a set...

Thanks Hudson.
The pipes are from Paughco, they are their 40" drag pipes. I may sell them and buy a shorter set instead of cutting them.

How about shortening the rear pipe so it is in line with the frame like the front pipe?

Like that idea, maybe bring the front back to before the bend so neither protrude past the frame.

Would make the slash cut opening right where the white rag on the floor is and the rear pipe would be above the rear axle-ish.

I hear ya, I was thinking about the same give or take an inch. About 6-8" off. I like the long pipes but they clash with the short fender. Whatever I do, they will be equal length from the head to tail.

Nerp, I chose the 7MW fender because it was thick enough to fly solo.

No struts? I won't crack off at the bracket?

Never seen one before...

I do live in a cave on a rock though....

I've seen a few... The fender is rubber mounted tho, just in case.
Once she's running I'll see how much the vibes move the fender. I may take another inch or two off.

Nope. I love shovels and love new builds. I get a kick out of tossing ideas around and watching the whole mess come together.

Aye.
The coolest thing is seeing it in the flesh and realizing how close it is to the picture in my head many years ago.
