Love the lines. I am currently painting, can I ask what type of paint you are using?

Thanks, Dan.

Blown Triple Build

When I was a boy, I thought about being a biker. Now I'm a biker, I think about being a boy.

So far all HOK, fine mettalic. I'm pretty sure it's all going to be HOK stuff. When it's done I'm sure he'll give me a run down of everything. I'll post it here for you Dan.

That be the Steve.
I'm not worried in the least about his ability to turn this puppy nice.... I'm just having trouble coming to grips with it being anything but nekkid. The whole build fron the start has been about character and little stuff as opposed to the flash. We came up with something I think will add to the bike without being overwhelming. Even tho the tank is a little 2.5 peanut, it looks a bit big on the bike and I think a solid color would have made the tank even more of a focal point. I'm pretty exited to see it done, I'm just a bit.... nervous.
Steve's good people, I know it would bother him way more than it would bother me if it didn't work.

By the way, I really dig your shit. I've been watching your posts and your blog for a while now. My daughter (the artist in the family) loves the pic of the two cows.

I'm already tired of looking at a tankless 'Feeder in the garage, anxious to get it rolling. Everone who's seen the progress of the paint is pretty excited about it but I've never been a flashy paint job kind of guy. I think when it's done I'll like it tho, it won't be too flashy, just a bit of style.

Your bike is simple and sweet, not busy. This tank is either gonna out shine everything like striking a match in the dark or be more perfect than could be imagined. Its that fine of a line I think. Boardering on too much or just right.

Spot on brother. I'm still teetering on the brink, worried that it will be overkill. It needed something to break up the size of the tank without being garish. I think the colors we picked should be ok tho. I came very close to having him paint a nice old school flame job but frankly, i'm tired of seeing them. Steve's doing a great job and he's familiar with the bike so it hasn't been too hard to stay positive.
Too much lost sleep already.

Thanks Curmudgeon. The tank has had one coat of clear, touch up, and will be final cleared and buffed soon. I haven't seen it since the last time I posted pics so I have no idea how it's turning out. Steve says it looks great.

I'm a bit down about it being close to finished myself. On the plus side, after the inspection I get to take off the stuff it doesn't need and put on the new exhaust, etc. I'm looking forward to working on it again.
I'm anxious to see the finished tank on the bike, this thing has been my baby for so long. You will be the first to see it in paint. Hopefully, I can get some decent pics.
