Well! Nice!
I'd be happy if mine ran that well!
I have to do more tuning and get used to the linkert.

pretty scary choice of shoes there, by the way...

Tried to lap in the pop off valve to the seat in the manifold but the valve seized and left an ugly surface in the manifold. Iwas to far of the mark and tried to speed things up with the powerdrill. stupid.
once i get this airtight i will try to start this motherf... It will probably fail an i will continue with the "snapsing" device.

Thanxs.
Every man should own a pair of such shoes. No hamfisted lamekick can make them slip of that kickpedal!

I know nothing about linkerts but i have heard that they are as simple as a brick when you get used to them.
I ran an 38mm mikuni which came with the bike.

It was some extensive fiddeling with that engine to get to an mighty 31bhp

Maybe 1bar of boost will kick it into the shovel part of the scale.

As my gift to you i have begun
First night of kicking gave just about nothing.
Two loud bangs from starting gas injected to the manifold. After a while helping friend was asking to many dumb questions so we concentrated on beer instead.

Think i will go back to the old carb just to se if it will start on that, if not i will make an adapter and put that carb directly on engine and skip the blower. That WILL work. cause the engine it self is unchanged since i dyno'ed and it ran great. I'm an stubborn m'f'er when comes to zero'ing in on the problem and solve' it.
I will keep you posted as i trial and error my way to success

Thank you.... I very much enjoyed the show.

So carb to engine get it running then deal with primer..? Then deal with carb tuning for blower!

You WILL get this I have faith. I wish I was there to watch the ninja skills.

I think You have starting problem due to large intake volume, one kick does not create enough vacuum through carb to get it started. Only way to get it starting properly is to built some kind of primer system. Prime it now through the blow off valve and try that way…

Very interesting project anyway, got me finally registered here.

Here you go..

Ahhh.. it feels soo f'ckin sweeet!!
I'm sitting here giggeling like a little schoolgirl.

All it took was some starting gas injected directly into the manifold by the pop off valve and some lashing of the choke in the open position. (understandable?)

This summer im gonna actually ride this thing! Tjihoo

Thanks to you all!!
I wish multi quoting would work again Then i would be easier to thank you all more personally.

Guy from finland: I don't think you're spot on there. The charger produces quite a bit of vacuum from kicking. otherwise you're absolutly right.

Gasketscraper: Yupp. it took a while..

Jaws: Nag, nag, nag..

Cpt fred: Thanks

Jaws: No it didn't come off.
But i need an softer wire that likes to bend around small wirewheels a bit better.

No snow here now. When you posted you're t-shirt riding pics we had 5" inches but now the rain is pouring.....

Rasmussen: Yes thats a real mean sound. It woke up both my kids who was sleeping in an other well isolated building 30 yards away. Ma was not pleased. he he

2loose: if you clarifies that mele kalikimaka part i will keep pouring up new beers!
