Default Alright all you Pre-unit Gurus....

...who can clue me in as to what year the fuel tank and tool box came off of?not so sure the tool box is even Triumph,but maybe you'll know.......thanks for the help.

The tool box looks like a BSA , fuel tank looks about 1957-1959

That particular tank badge was used 1957-1965. If there are pockets for coils on the underside of the tank, it's for a unit model.

You can see the space sut out of the back of the tank for the seat, so it's prob '57-59 pre-unit. And it's the larger tank for the Thunderbird.

True that. Duplex frame models '60-62, although pre-unit, did not have the cut out at the rear for the seat as does the one shown.

Definitely a '57-'59 tank. Looks like it may be a 3 gallon but kinda hard to make out in the supplied pics. If the area for the knee pads is recessed, it is the larger 4 gallon tank, if not recessed, it is the 3 gallon tank.
