Last week we reunited the twin-Triumphed Gyronaut with its original rider, Bob Leppan, at Bonneville. It had been 42 years since they were both together on the salt. Here's a pic from that incredible day...

THANKS for the moral support! We're planning to try to sell some stuff to help pay for the restoration. Posters would be great. These pics were the first I've tried with HDR, where three shots are taken at three exposures and then merged together to show the best details from each one. They look surreal and Bonneville really shows off its moonscape with it.
These will all be part of a documentary about the Gyronaut, finishing up with the restored bike returning for its 50th anniversary of the start of the project (1963). We're in the Bay Area, but the bike may be making some appearances at a couple more shows before it gets its final new parts and paint. We'd like to get it out to as many shows as we can, since it's got such a great story to tell. We'll be posting updates on the Gyronaut website. Thanks to you guys who are keeping up the interest in its history... Bob Leppan, reliving salt time with his creation:
