Here is a pic of a huge engraving/sculpting project I just finished. This is cast aluminum. Customer had the tank cast with the crucifix in it. I took it from there. Also included is a link a webpage on it. At the bottom of the page, click on "The Process" to see the progress shots of it.
I do a bit of engraving myself, and I can truely appreciate the time and effort undertaking a job of this magnitude entails. I can totally see the hours of layout time, and all the dimentions & layers that had to be thought out before you could ever pick up a chisel.
tryin to come up with a compliment for something so amazing is impossible!you are my new hero! now if i can only figure out how to make it my screensaver too!
Thanks for all the kind words. I can't wait to share more photos of the completed bike as I have yet to do the knuck engine parts.
To answer a few questions: Yes, it is heavy. I don't know exactly what it weighs. It doesn't leak. Even if it did, like on any other tank, you just treat it with Kreem gas tank sealer. The only pics I have of the process are on the provided link at the bottom of the webpage of Godspeed on my site. Just click on "The Process".
Awesome, a knuckle engine as well.. this guy must enjoy spending money!
What style is the bike - traditional style chopper? I'm hoping it ain't some fat tyre thing..
