I've been taking a break from this site... Obviously... But came across a video this morning that I though you guys would enjoy. Essentially, it's footage of a man with a very funny accent hand-painting a factory Royal Enfield tank. The juxtaposition...
I don't know shit either, but I was amazed that a mass-production facility would have a lone guy striping by hand. I hope he's paid well, at least by Indian standards.
hahahaha, yeah, he knows he's the shit and is proud of it! He striped that bitch totally oblivious to all the people moving around him, and using the same table as he was etc.
dude is the shit, Indian or not. regardless if this is a "demonstration", a "public relations ploy" or whatever. the guy has skills that 99.9% of us would kill to have. old school technique half way around the world. nice.
Man... I could watch that over and over. Its strangely hypnotic. Notice how the striper is 100% focused on what he is doing. Its almost as if a gunfight could be going on around him and he would not even notice.
You can see, at certain angles, that the tank has guide stripes laid down and he just goes over them with a bigger brush and a steady hand. Damn cool video.
Beautiful work.
Love the way he rolls the tank around to get the line around the tight curves. Brush stays in pretty much the same place and the tank just rolls past it on one beautiful curve.
And not a drop of paint anywhere on the guy's very smart looking shirt and slacks. Amazing.
Obviously a man who takes great pride in his work.
