alright, this issue is on a stock buell but if you are good at wiring issues you may be able to help diagnose the issue. let me see if i can explain this problem...the rights side turn signals work fine. when i activate the left side i get a real faint light from the front bulb but nothing from the rear (and the faint light is constant no flashing). when i hooked my test light up to test them i put the ground clip on the battery to ensure i was getting a good ground. now when i touch the test light to the power wire on the turn signal both turn signals light up full power and begin flashing. does this mean my power supply wire is the problem somewhere on the bike or would it be a ground problem? i have removed the tank and tested the plug that supplys power to the switch housing on the bars and the prong has good flash. please help.

It's definitely a ground problem. When you connect the test light you're providing the necessary ground that is otherwise missing right now. Check your ground on each turn signal, especially the rear and you should figure it out pretty easily.

B-monkey nailed it. I'd make an extra ground strap where ever you placed your jumper wires. Sometimes, you can squeeze a few wire strands in between the crush points of the winker assembly to the body part. Other times, you remove the winkers, scrub a better, metal-to-metal (ground) contact to each winker stem, and do it correctly, without the micky mousing loopholes mentioned above.

I was going to say the same about the ground. I bet you will have better luck grounding against an unpainted portion of the frame than by using the neg. batt. post.
