I`m working on a 650 triumph, and all the wireing has been removed, so far, I have pulled off the promary cover, and fund a sebring unit hooked up, wth two wires comming from it, and also, the stator has two wires comming from it, I dont plan on using the sebring stuff, but rather going with a single reg/rec, and a battery, the thing is, I`m wanting to test out the stator,and wondering how to do so? I used to know this, but its been a REAL long time since I`ve worked on a triumph, anyone know how to test the stator while its running? I know I sed to hook up my multi meter one way or anther to them stator wires, and check the reading at various rpms, but i cant remember wat to set my meter on, or what kid of readings i should be getting??
