Have to turn down an odd ball sized axle for a friend tommorow and was curious what a standard 3/4" axle should measure. Should it be .750 dead nuts or possibly a little undersized, like .748? I'm not really sure what the ID of a bearing measures. Let me know what you guys get for a measurement. Thanks.

You don't worry about the bearing, you go by shaft. .750...

The axle will be undersize. Try taking a 3/4" bolt and sliding it through a 3/4" ID bearing. Won't work. I don't know the answer, nor is my lathe accurate enough (or my skill great enough) to size down the shaft.
