My buddy Rich and some other fantastic people, have been working on a project for the last year; a new magazine called Lowside. It's a very grassroots motorcycle/hot rod magazine with articles and photos submitted by people like you and me. It's primarily rooted in the East Coast, but features and will feature articles submitted from all over the world. I know there is plenty of reading material already available, but we are trying to bring something a little bit different. Please check it out, I think many of you will enjoy.

You can order an issue through the website, the online store is up and running as of today!

Please show your support so we can keep this project going.

The book is also fantastic, Doug Barber is an amazing photographer.

I'd love to hear all your feedback after you get your issue. We would also like to see some of you submitting tech articles and high res photos. Again, this magazine is for you guys- by you guys (and gals).

I know how damned hard it is to launch a magazine, so I followed the URL and decided to show some support and buy a copy of the first issue - especially as you mentioned that articles will be globally-sourced.

Webshop all worked well, then when I clicked the checkout button I got a fat red cross and the message 'Lowside doesn't ship to the UK'...

Uhh... I think you're limiting your market! (Would also be cool to get a broader hint about what the content will be and how it will be different from what's out there...)

Guy, I appreciate the support (or attempt!)
We certainly all support what you do.

Plans are in the works to expand the network of magazine availability and it definitly WILL be available to be shipped to the UK (Rich is in the process of setting up international shipping on the site), and in the next few weeks this issue will also be available through many online motorcycle retailers. Today is the official launching of the site's store and there will be many improvements made in the coming days/weeks/ months.

I hope the magazine will speak for itself and the readers will not only enjoy the content but will be a part of contributing to future issues. I assure you the content will get better and better!

Guy, I apologize man. We will send the mag to the UK no problem, we just haven't hooked up the international shipping yet, as we are still figuring out the most cost effective route to send our shit. Send me your info and I will get it out to you. We will get it fixed this week. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I am a huge fan of your mag and really appreciate the feedback. Please understand we are making this thing happen as we go with what we got when we can. We all do this on top of our bill paying day jobs and the shit ton of projects we are building on top of the shit life tends to throw in our way. We are still working the bugs out as we go and are doing the best we can. This whole project is like our bikes and cars, cool but a little rough around the edges to some but fun as hell to us.

As for the content it's all about garage built bikes of all makes and models, vintage cars and anything related to riding them, building them, breaking them and the people who make shit happen with them, but with an east coast voice to it. You will see bikes, cars, events, how to's and people and vendors you definitely don't see in other mags but geared to the DIY guys and gals. What we feel we are doing different is being an east coast voice about it all, while presenting a quality designed and printed piece as best we can with what we can do in house, since commercial printing is my trade.

We get our material from our efforts of networking, riding and living the life and from others across the globe willing to spend their time contributing with what they feel is cool and what other like minded folks would enjoy. As Heather put in this post, a mag for the people by the people. We have contributors from all over the globe but the voice from our heart and soul we represent is of the east coast in the states. We want to share what we got crackin on ink and paper.

We are working to help those little guys in the industries and to help the hardworking joes like ourselves get their name out and help spread the love for the diy builder on a budget and independent shops that support that builder. Hopefully give some learnin and inspiration for others along the way. The same way your mag has done for me!

We are not trying to compete with other mags but minimally give people something new to look at while they're taking a shit!

The next issues will be even better than the first with a bunch of sick bikes and cars from the right coast and other parts of the globe showing whats up.

Thanks again to all for the support and the feedback! Anyone who is interested in contributing, advertising or bashing the mag can hit me up directly on here or at rich@lowsidesyn.com or come see us in person at the big bike show here in Baltimore next weekend!

As soon as I get unburied from the 3ft snow we got in B-more I will get these out in the mail to yall that's bought one!
