Dang, I've been trying to get a rear fender on my bobber for a while now.......... (although it looks awesome without one the ol' lady says get a rear seat or else!)

I am having trouble getting one with the correct radius. I've got a 16" rear wheel and the fenders I have are too big on the radius. (They don't follow the curve of the wheel.) I've got a short bobbed fender that looks ok but I need a longer one. The long one I have looks like crap because of the too big radius. The only fenders I can find are all a standard radius (I think). Does anyone have any experience/input on this problem?

Check out Bossleycycle.com or call my mate Eddie there ,he makes ribbed fenders in alloy & steel to fit the 16" radius, I used to splice em & heliarc & grind back together but Eddies new ones save so much time.I use them on just about all the bobbers we build. Cheers Hollywood Bruce

you have to "radius" it. cut a whole bunch of slits in the sides of the fender, put something on the tire like 2 pieces of hose, put the fender on the hose, and start tack welding the slits together.

Hey JNT1957 I have shrinker/stretcher jaws at my shop. Works great for tweaking the radius of a fender. I can fine tune it for you if you pay shipping. Check out some samples of my work, lot of pics on my website. www.tanksbytigman.com (http://www.tanksbytigman.com) It would probably take me 15 - 20 mins. No charge........
