Are jap bikes allowed??

I haven't been on in awhile and it seems like there is a big backlash on jap bikes here are they banned or something?? I'll be honest 9 out of 10 Harley's are clones and brit bikes are hard to find and afford. I'm not saying that I hate Harleys but you pay allot for alittle IMHO and I am kinda on the poor side.

Brit bikes aren't cheap,but they are worth it.You have to want one bad enough to make it happen.As for HD's,the same thing rings true.Bikes are only worth what your willing to spend on them.Imho if a bike makes me grin when I ride it it is a good deal.

I'm new here but I don't think that Asian bikes are allowed. As to your question on the cost of HDs and Brit bikes, It depends on what you want? If your handy with tools and welding etc.. You can build a nice bike for 5k or less. The Trumpet I'm building now will be under 4k when I'm done. I've seen a lot of cool HDs and Triumphs that got put together for pretty cheap by greese monkeys like myself that were good horsetraders and fabricators.

For 5k I can build 4-5 different bikes If I could find a good base bonnie for under a grand I'd go for it in a heartbeat! It seems though the HD owners around here are mostly HOG members thus not really my thing didn't like the attitude that I got off of allot of them over here. (not saying that they are all that way)

I just don't like the idea of being a fanboy and hating everything else for no real reason. I'm a general motorcycle enthusiast. If it has a throttle, wheels, and it moves, I can appreciate it.

Back on topic though, I still recommend you find a nice classic brit/euro bike. I know where theres another Benelli Tornado 650 that I'm picking up, so believe me, they are out there... just gotta know where to look.
