I vote to re-open the flat tracker/desert racer thread. 90% of the stuff on there made me all tingly in the trousers... why did it get closed anyway?

I agree.

The thread has not descended into chaos yet and still seems to be quite active showing a broader range of cool bikes than some other threads.

Why closed?

Sorry fellas, I think it might have been my fault for flipping some shit on "Garage Company Customs Inc"..

Say that name three times in a row and TRY not to laugh.. I dare you. :D

At any rate, I vote to open it up again as well. I promise I will play nice.

Yeah, and some fucktard spammed the "cool fabrication" thread with his wide assed disc brake on the drive sproket piece of shit and now the whole thread is gone.

It was just closed temporarily til the dust settled, it's open now.

But that's a good example of how counter-productive vigilante-style posting to the clueless new guys is, same as piling onto the 1st-posters in Classifieds.

It just gives us that more o/t junk to clean up. So if you feel you need to take action, just hit the http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/hamb/buttons/report.gif button.

Bringing this one back to the top, as relates to the trashing of the "Sick Sporties" pic thread last night.

Again, this one was briefly closed for "maintenance", but same point as made above.

Sure a couple of new guys didnt take input about their posted bikes well, but the piling on just escalates things. After efforts of several of us this morning, I see total of 46 posts had to be removed.

So many times the "what do you think" opinion-survey threads draw much negative and caustic input, but in particular, our pic threads are for posting pics, not put-downs and drawn out debate.

Even our "off-topic refuge" the Ugly/Funny thread has been picking up lots of the same "downer" type posts... let's try and keep the criticism positive and when asked for, and let the pic threads be for pic compilation.

Serious. . . just don't be a fucking jerk , and things like this don't happen . Maybe you don't like the bike , that's fine . Don't like it all by yourself and it will pass .

As soon as everyone starts jumping in and ripping bikes apart unsolicited , the plug gets pulled and no one has any fun .
