View Full Version : Issue *****PLEASE HELP******
Everyone,
I have tried to post a for sale listing for over a week now and I am new to computers and the board forum type stuff really new to the internet in general. I am just learning about all of this as I go.
I have tried to post a for sale for a bike of mine and for some reason it keeps getting deleted within a matter of minutes after posting. Today is the 4th time that I have listed it on the board for sale and it is gone and I have gotten no reply or reason why from the person who manages the board. I have emailed them and asked what I am doing wrong and they won't answer me only giving vauge replies.
PLEASE HELP> I just want to utilize this site I really think it is cool, and the info is fantastic.
Thanks

are you trying to sell something that doesn't go here? 300tire fat-ass chopper or an old japper with upside-down bars calling it a cafe-racer? That's probably your problem.
No it is not a jap bike it is a custom bike not by any means a billet queen it has a 200 back tire. Cycle Source Mag did a photo shoot on it so I wouldn't know why it wouldn't go here. It is just a cool ass bar hopper.

As the subtitles on the index page say, our Classifieds are for "vintage chopper etc artifacts". Sorry but your '07 dropseat wide-tired "custom" is about the polar opposite of what we are about here.
It's nothing personal, many new store-bought "customs", baggers, and the standard jap bikes are also dis-allowed.
Maybe try listing it somewhere like - http://www.clubchopper.com/forums/
.
So why didn't someone just tell me that about a week ago when I started doing this instead of being so vauge with me.
Also what is the year limit for being consided vintage because of a listed 05 flyrite chopper on there?

In addition, most of the regulars on this board find it somewhat discouraging if someone very new to the board posts a couple of times, and then uses the board to begin selling things, without really adding any real and valuable content to the board as a whole. The JJ is similar to a living, breathing organism. It takes alot of energy and care to keep it going strong, not only by the mods but by anyone who shares a piece of their own life and experiences. When it seems like someone might be using the site purely to benefit themselves, it frustrates those that have taken the time to grow it.
I thank you for your input but as I had said to the person I was emailing I am new to computers and the interent this is all foreign to me. I had a friend of mine introduce me to this site and I thought it was great. I know that there is a ton of useful info out there and appreciate it. I have posted and will if I am able to. I don't plan on just using it as a site to benefit myself I know that I will purchase something from someone who has something listed on the board in the very near future in my next build.
Maybe try listing it somewhere like - http://www.clubchopper.com/forums/

Thank you for this input I appreciate it.
