So yeah, when someone takes a fairly complete old bike and makes some kind of drop seat monstrosity out of it, people will sound off...which is exactly the response these guys are looking for. Every once in a while it happens, the shit flies, then the dust settles and everyone soldiers on.

No man... a friend of mine posted an old BSA that he bought cheaper than you can buy a good bicycle for.... his wife had a hand in the way it was built..... and he was raked over the coals for it... i'm gonna cut up a 71 stock Shovel...... was gonna go one way with it.... but now just because I PAID FOR IT MYSELF.....I may just do what I like to do.... and let the moaners and purists have a cow...... I like this site and dare I say 80% of the bikes on here are NOT stock... so why all the moaning when you make one the way YOU want.......????????

Benway didn't insult you. He didn't insult anyone with his post. He stated an opinion, an accurate one at that.

In my opinion that BSA looked much nicer before you haphazardly cut it up and glued panties to it. Other people agree with that opinion, some don't. You and the missus certainly don't. That's what is important though, recognizing that it's just an opinion. But you have to understand you are going to get those opinions when you ask for them. Post away, just don't post if all you want is praise.

And by all means, keep supporting the community. We don't all get along, but we all have something in common.
