View Full Version : pic problems
New to this site and am having problems posting a picture of my TR6 chop project. The upload function tells me the file size of my picture is too large at 2.3MB (limit is 78kb). Is there a trick to this? I searched the FAQ but couldnt find any post on this. Appreciate any suggestions...

bast way... get a photobucket acount, upload them there, then copy the imige code, then paste it right on the thread... like right here (big arrow pointing right here) that way they are gihuge a normagantuan size, and everybody can see in full action effect.
Here's a great walk-through from Dragon;

I re-size mine to a 700 pixel width before hosting them - stops everyone having to scroll to read the text.
Thanks for the tips. will try...

Dragon helped me out big time.
He's the Man! Ahhh, I mean Reptile!
Search the old posts, there is a turtoril from last week.
I did 680 x 480 pixels I think (Photobucket), it seemed to work.

Oh good I thought it was gonna be 'still a problem'....
Photobucket is so much better because of the pre-set for sizing, and they list the right code (IMG Code) for this style board. Imageshack doesnt show that particular code so it's a pain to post a regular pic.
But if anyone wants to use Imageshack & has Windows XP, here is a free easy-to-use photo-resizer, to shrink pix before putting them into Imageshack.
Once you install it just right-click your file pic & the menu has a 'resize' button with pre-set sizes. You can also custom-set a size (good for making avatars). Also, you can hold the 'ctrl' key and resize many pix at once.
