pic upload ?

How long does it usually take for you guys to upload your pics using Imageshack I know i'm using dial up(50kps) but crap it takes like 10 minutes for 1 image. i closed all the other programs on the pc and it still crawls. I have a new Dell thats like 6months old and it processes other things quickly. What am i doing wrong? I have some pics i wanted to share but at this speed its not worth it.
