Hey guys, been a member for a while just havent posted up. I just picked up a '66 BSA 650 rigid that I had just started chopping on. I have been working on Harleys for a while and Im crossing over to British bikes so forgive me if I ask dumb noob questions (only after I use the search haha) It wouldnt be fair to tell you about the bike without posting pics...

thanks, it was a hell of a buy at $1800, just rode it today for the first time! I like the peanut to but Im 6'6" tall and I dwarf the bike. I added the sporty tank to make it a little taller and beefier.

Welcome to the site. Good to see another Brit bike in the mix.
IMO, I would leave the Beezer as-is...very sweet all around.
I'm a newbie on the HAMB with a 56 Chevy PU as the "next project".
Its been next for some 20 years though. Keep postin pics
and progress of the BSA. You sellin the red Wassel/Peanut tank?

The wiring was a mess and it did not run, kickstart return spring was slipped, rear fender had rough cuts and was not mounted. Just about everything was done half-assed. This bike will breath new life. I may sell the Wassell tank (made in europe stamped). It just seamed way to small for meand it was rusting inside and clogging my fuel filters and carbs. Im also debating a 19" spoolie for the front..
As for the road runner its a 383 that puts 400 hp to the wheels.

Nice cycle. I'd have to say British tank is good, but the Sporty looks better! Just my .02.

Great bikes! Welcome to the site. Did your friend's bike start out as a Nightster? I like what he's done with it.
