My name is Sam, live in <st1:state w:st="on"><st1>Wisconsin</st1></st1:state>. I’m 21 and work in a machine shop and love my job. We have cnc turning, verticals and horizontal machines. We do some aerospace shit, do various missile components (nose cones, antenna brackets, missile bodies etc) and other shit for machine and engines. I could go on talking about my job forever, I love it. When I was 16 I got into imports and that’s when I started wrenching on cars. I built up three Integra’s, one was a high compression monster at 12 : 1 and redlined at 9000 rpm’s in was fun but eventually when I was 19 I started to get into bikes. My first bike was a Yamaha R6 (not the best idea for a first bike) had that for a summer but when I would go riding I would see five other people with the same bike and got sick of that. One of my friend’s family’s was really big into Harleys and one of his brothers has a flyrite bobber and his other brother is almost done with building up his sporty he did which blows my mind. I did a ride up to the dells with these guys and some of there friends, camped, drank a shitload of beer and had a fucking good time. These guys just turned me on to bobbers, choppers and whatever you want to build. They will help you out with anything you need and inspired me to start my own build. I have three bikes now: 78 xs650 that I got for helping a guy move, 73 cb550 for $300 with a title thought it was a great deal and a fun bike to ride around on, and 89 sporty with only 6000 miles and in immaculate condition for $3500. I’m in the process of building the xs650 and it’s been a learning experience. Ultimately I want to chop up my sporty but thought it would be good to build up a bike I could afford to fuck up first. This board has tons of great help and the guys around have a lot of knowledge. Everything I know about Honda and Acura cars I got from another board Honda-tech.com. I know all about the search function. I probably spend at least an hour a day on this board searching for whatever my head is thinking. These kinds of boards have everything I need and want to know.
Heres some pics of my build so far I’m onto the wiring as of now and its probably my weakest point. Hopefully I finish it sooner than later.
