Is it really easier to come over here and post these threads, rather than just reading the Classifieds 'Sticky' threads ??
(excerpted)
(key words: "doing the math")
((and because there is a disconcerting number of your fellow members who "look over my shoulder" {doing the math, as it were} and crying via PM to me when "so & so did/didnt do this" re the rules.
There's 24 hours in a 'day', be real. Posts are (date)/time-stamped.
4,6 hours early is same as 12/48/60 hours early... dont play this nitpicky game, just do right.))

Re: Thread or Post deleted? Heres why. ***Please READ THIS Again.**
Did your reply to an ad get deleted? These are possible reasons why...
The “3 Day Bump Rule” Please respect your fellow JJers. This little rule was put into effect to keep people from bringing their ad back to the top (BTTT) in a manner detrimental to other ads.
A seller may not “bump” their ad any sooner than three days since the last time THEY bumped it. Sellers should take the date of their last entry in a thread and add three to it. If the date that results from that math has not occurred yet, they should not bump it. This is all we do and we don’t have time for other math.
Should a seller think of something to add before the 3 days is up they may do so by editing their previous post.
Some people may be inclined to include very little info in their ads so the obvious questions will keep it at the top. We aren’t stupid and if the ad generates more than its fair share of the questions it will be closed or deleted at our discretion.
And, again, the reason behind All these guidelines relating to early and other needless bumps & commentary, is out of fairness to the other folks whose listings get 'bumped' down & off the page.
