So I posted a thread "new Seat" twice it was deleted both times.
It was a simple thread asking what you all thought of it. so why were they deleted?

In a word - Spam.

First though, it was not me. Everyone thinks I'm the omnipresent bad guy here but there are others with the same tasks.

Your two threads last night were taken down by one of the Admins. Inside one, you were discussing selling & prices. Also in the "I made my own seats pics" thread, you discussed selling your seats on ebay.

Looking back at your other posts, you were given a warning your first day here (6-16) for pulling up 3 old WTB seat posts in Classifieds and soliciting them with your site link. It was clearly stated then "No business solicitation on the Board or Classifieds. The Jock Shops board is for our established commercial/vendor members (with over 100 posts)".

Recently we have asked our commercial artists (painters, stripers and leather guys) to add these "my latest customer work" posts to their Jock Shops, but they are OK on the board when added to a "Friday Art" thread.

So when someone asked if it was for sale on ebay. am I not allowed to say yes. I realize that my first posting was spam back on 6/16. because i put my web address on it.but on the others there was no clear mention of trying to sell it to someone on this board.I simply answered a yes or no question when asked.
Now, if some asks if it is for sale what is the proper way to answer as to not get spamed? Please understand that I am very new here and I am not trying to piss anyone off.
Is it ok for me to post on Friday Art?
Is it ok for me to PM an answer back to someone or email them?

Like I said, an administrator took it down, as has happened many times. They dont want business done on the main board.

And as has been posted before, and is currently going on in the Classifieds, if someone asks about a part, a vendor/commercial member should PM rather than posting a solicitation (whether to a WTB or in a discussion thread on the Board).

Re-read what was said above about the Friday Art threads.

If your a business, or act like a business, sell stuff you make it belongs in the Jock Shops. There are plenty of leather seat guys on here and for the most part share their work on their Jock Shop posting.

Friday Art thread is acceptable if your not trying to sell it.

If someone asks for something, PM them.

Bump for topic-emphasis.

Any thoughts on us magazine writers/sellers?

What Scorcher said -

Note the Jock Shops rules thread, it is for established members with at least 100 posts, rather than just a free venue for anyone "off the street".

But Iron Horse, Dice, & Greasy Kulture are there, and thriving it seems.
