Just an idea, but on a local forum I'm on, they have a trader rating feature, which basically tells you if the person is a good buyer/seller.
their rating is located right under their avatar, and basically states:
Trader Rating: (#)
and the # is based on how many people you have sold or bought stuff, that left a rating for you. as seen in this pic, there is 10.

and if you click on the # 10, it brings you to their rating screen, which looks like so.

I think it would be a good idea, then you know that the person your buying from has a good record, or if your selling something, people can check and see if you have been a decent seller, etc.
I guess basically like ebay

The man that owns this started the extremely busy and successful HAMB car boards 10 years ago, I believe he would have access to any type of forum software there is.
What we have here is what he chooses to implement.

I personally think it is great to know who your dealing with and this topic has been the focus of a couple different threads lately. While I am not in support of the idea on this thread. I do thing it is nice when people comment after the deal is done. So that the next guy can get an idea of how honest the person is that is selling/buying/trading on this site.
IMO :D The people that have been buying from the posters in the "Jock Shops" area of this message board has been wonderful about commenting about their dealings with the seller.

it's pretty simple. all you have to remember is to limit your dealings to people who've been around long enough to have fifty posts. it's the only way to know for certain that they are honest.

silent rick, I can understand the idea of fifty post rule but you have been a member since Nov 2005 and you just posted your 44th post on this subject. Some people can post that many in a week or so.
Some people just talk more than other...does not mean that they are honest thou.

this board is what we make of it,we dont need a feedback system.before i buy, sell or trade with anyone on here i do some researching,if there is nothing bad i take my chances.
I have not had a single bad transaction with anyone here.
We look out for our own,if you screw one of us you will have to deal with all of us.simple?

If you get screwed, post something about it with the screwer's name. Before you buy something sight unseen from someone you don't know 1,000 miles away, do a search for their name.
If you're not sure, remember that life is a gamble.

Personally I like the idea of posting ideas. Although this message board moves rather smoothly on a norm. I do feel that someone might come up with a better idea. I always feel that no matter how good something is - it can be made better.
