the stem itself is right at one inch, but the part that really matters is the "step up" to 1.068 inches where the stock bearing and te Timken roller bearing conversion rides. This allows bottom caged bearing to "pop" down onto the stem and give a secure fit. Best bet is to buy the races for the stock neck size then go to a bearing supply and get the closest thing to your stem size, at the bottom and top where it all clamps down, for the actual bearings. Bring your stem or measure it out for the guy at the counter. Lots of girders had different sized stems through out the chopper to modern era.
