Hey, names Dan, 18, live in Fredericksburg, VA. Seen some other Va guys here while lurking around. I've been into old cars since...well...forever. Got a '50 Ford, '55 Buick (almost on the road), and a '66 Ford F-250.
I've wanted to build a bike for quite some time and originally started with the idea of buying a roller and building it ground up, yada yada yada. But I've never built a bike and wasn't sure about some stuff so I postponed the ground up bike building project until I've got some experiance. Then I got tied up in some other car projects and the bike ideas fell by the way side. (not to mention at the time I didn't even have my bike license or hadn't ridden much either). But I rode all this past summer and some the year before with my dad (he's got two bikes) and decided it's definatley something I wanna do. Nothing like being on bike. :D
Now I'm back on the bike buzz and going a different route. I'm plannin' on building a low-buck chop out of a mid seventies Honda. Seen that alot of people are using the 650's but I like things a little different and really like the 4 cylinder 750's so I'm looking to buy a '74-'77 or so CB750 to build. Get it hardtailed, drag bars, switch it to forward controls, blah blah blah.
Well, guess that's about it. Glad to be here and I'll be around asking all kinds of annoying questions and lurking in the swap section for stuff. :D
