I've been coveting some of these for a while now on eBay. Cool designs and the production looks top notch.
Have you ever tumbled or blasted and then polished to remove the CNC marks? I am NOT knocking the look at all, please don't take it that way. I like that sort of finish on race or race-inspired bike but feel like it'd look kind of out of place on something older and crustier. I can just imagine how sweet that glass filter set up or tail light would look in full, smooth-ass polish...

VERY nice. What 3D file formats can you use for your CNC work? We can accept most popular file formats. iges, mastercam, dxf. Most of the 3d stuff we do in solids.
Bill,
We haven't tumbled anything yet. I'm going to try to blast something here soon to try to get a cast finish look to them. We have polished some of the pieces but not a polish that takes the mill marks out totally. I agree with you 100% that the milled style doesn't fit every bike, but we're working on different finishes to suit more people.

NOW we're talking! Sure the tight radius areas could be polished a little better, but look at the potential. I can't tell which one I like better, the polished or the fully blasted one. OK, the polished one. Just my stupid opinion but I like 'em better this way. I'm not going to mention how great one with no fins on the side, and fully polished would look...

As Troy Fab above just said....some of the absolute finest, coolest, and most innovative work I have seen in quite a while...you go right on with your bad selves....keep those new products coming!!!...I gotta have one of those glass oil fliters, and maybe an oil tank....plus a tail-light...and a headlight...probably a license plate bracket...and a finned pre-unit cover even though I don't even have a pre-unit Triumph...the cover is just THAT cool....
Ahhhh..hell....thanx for posting those pics, I think....now I'm gonna have to earn some extra money to start buying some of those cool doo-dads...

Here’s a video of our Serdi seat-cutting machine. The video shows a V-8 head, but we can do any cylinder head work from the smallest motorcycles to a fuel burning hemi. This machine is far superior to almost any other way of doing a valve job. The cut is so accurate that in most cases valves don’t even need to be lapped in. That means longer life and more power. All valve seats are at least 3 angles and the exhaust can be cut with a radius outlet to really increase the flow. A standard valve job on this machine includes precision cutting of the seats, grinding the valves to match, solvent cleaning of the head, re-assemble and shim springs to the correct pressure. Priced at $30/seat. We can also fix sparkplug threads, loose valve guides, seat replacement, fin repair/replacement.

Hot honing Triumph twin
Nitropathic
02-17-2008, 01:24 PM
We now offer ultra-precision hot cylinder honing for motorcycles. Born in the racing world hot honing provides amazing ring seal potential. When your engine heats up the cylinders grow and distort. A bore that’s perfectly round and straight at room temp will be many thousandths of an inch out of round and tapered when it’s hot under running conditions. Tapered and out-of-round bores allow cylinder pressure to leak past the rings costing power, contaminating oil, and causing blow by out the breathers. Cylinder pressure is power, so why not do everything you can to keep it where it belongs? Here’s an example of a recent job we did on an iron T100 jug. These bores are small and most would consider them fairly stable. They were first cold honed round and straight without any torque plates within .0005” max. Which is a fairly good tolerance. Next they were torqued to a special plate with the actual head bolts used to assemble the engine and the entire cylinder was heated to operating temp. The bores were again measured and found to be tapered and out-of-round by .0025”-.003”. Those are not even close to acceptable tolerances for a good performing hone job. The problem of distortion only gets worse on bigger bores and aluminum jugs. We can hot hone any cylinders you might have from Triumph to HD and anything between. Triumph twins are $150 for hot honing with torque plates.
