Triumph Head/Carb Question

17666Can a TR6 head bolt onto a Bonneville 650 head? the prob i have is that i cant seem to sync the carbs on my 72 bonneville. i've tried Amals and Mikunis both and cant seem to get the thing to idle right. it'll be sitting at high idle then suddenly drop to low and die. then next time it stays at high and then next time it goes straight to low after throttle is release its driving me freaking nutts and i'm about ready to sell the whole thing and start fresh. this is why i would like to go with a TR6 head to just have one single carb and releave this stress i have. also with a single carb how much power loss will i have???

The head wont fit on the head LOL.......... sorry bout that.

But yes the head's are a strait swop.

Yes a TR6 head will fit but you'll lose the high rev power that you're probably used to by now. Check for air leaks at the intakes and worn slides. If you have points the auto advance my be sticking. Fit a Boyer if this is the case.
